Join me as we go south for the Winter. This will be the perfect time to go south and escape the cold Winter here in the states.
Feb 28-March 6
Breathe in the warm air and connect back to nature and yourself. Rediscover the inner peace that comes from reconnecting with nature.
That’s what The Farm does to me every time I step foot on the land. I breathe and connect. I’m at peace. Grounded. Present. Surrounded by mountains, ocean, cows, horses, cats, and dogs - all waiting to be petted and loved by you. You will understand how grounding and calming that can be.
Enjoy Farm Life, Mountain Life and the Sea. Yoga, Baby Cows, and Waterfalls, OH MY! All while living aboard Ciganka, a 78ft sailboat that I like to call my home away from home.
Join me for 6 days in the rural little town of Luperon on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. We will be staying on Ciganka anchored in the stunning protected harbor and visiting Linda and Thomas’s dairy farm only a short scenic drive away. You will experience farm life in the mornings with the baby cows, mama cows, horses, cats, and dogs, and of course our coffee with the option of a fresh cappuccino. You will be taken back in time as milking is still done by hand and the horses are happy to help with some farm chores. All of the cows are named and usually come when called especially if you have a brush in your hand to pet them.
We will live aboard Ciganka and Linda will be cooking all of our delicious meals. You will have one evening meal on your own at one of the local restaurants. We will practice yoga on the farm, Ciganka, and a special spot on land overlooking the harbor.
FUN ACTIVITIES:
Waterfall Excursion - 27 Waterfalls. It’s like stepping into a magical rainforest. Check it out here! 27 Waterfalls of Damajagua | Damajagua Waterfalls

Blow Holes Nature walk – First of all, you have to get to this secluded spot by dinghy. We then follow a path through old growth trees and plants to where the Atlantic ocean meets the high coral rock shoreline. Through years of the ocean crashing on the rocks, natural holes have formed that allow a gusher of water shooting high in the air. The feeling and sound alone are breathtaking.
Playa Grande – white sandy beach, turquoise water, music, dancing, volleyball, and cold Bohemia or Presidente beer. There is always a party on the beach!
Volunteer Day/Afternoon - Our friend Kim runs the local animal shelter where they neuter/spay, take care of injured dogs, and help get the dogs adopted. Last time, I volunteered here. We walked dogs, played with the puppies, and washed crates in preparation for an adoption where they all flew to Canada! Help a local family. Linda will organize something we can do to help a family. We will be met with a big smile and gratitude as we can make a small difference for a family in need.
TRAVEL:
You will fly into Santiago (STI) or Puerto Plata (POP) . We highly suggest the group meet in Miami and fly to the DR together. This way you can all share a taxi ride, which is about a 1 hour and 15 minute drive. Linda will organize your pick up at the airport. The cost is about $80 which can be split among the group. YOU WILL NEED A PASSPORT.
COST:
$1600 - includes accommodations on the Ciganka, all meals (except one evening meal out), all excursions, all yoga, and local transportation around Luperon.
Does not include: flight, alcohol, sodas and mixer for drinks, taxi to and from airport, and any extra excursions you choose to do on your own.
We will have a Live Zoom Call to help answer any other questions you may have and share pictures of the farm and Dominican.
