Welcome to Island Sol Collective, a sanctuary where the warmth of the sun and the rhythm of the ocean come together to create a truly unique yoga experience.

Here, we don’t just practice yoga—we embrace the flow of life, inspired by the tides, the sun, and the natural beauty of the island.

Island Sol Collective was born out of a desire to reconnect with nature and ourselves. We believe that yoga is more than just a practice—it’s a journey of exploration, growth, and deep connection. Whether you’re a local seeking a place to ground yourself or a visitor looking for a transformative experience by the sea, you’ll find your space here.

Meet Our Collective

  • Experienced teacher, practitioner, and traveler of yoga. Space holder. Smile giver. Making yoga really fun since 2010.

I started practicing yoga in the late 90s and started teaching in 2010. I quit my government job in 2014 and  set out to become a full time yoga teacher. I completed my first 200hr & 500hr YTT in Wilmington, NC with Porters Neck Yoga. 5 years later, I found my mentor and took another 200hr training and a mentorship program with Dr. Caitlin Casella from New York City.

My goal is and has always been to help people feel better in their bodies and minds.

My teachings include: gratitude, mediations, balls & yoga, thai massage, sup yoga, chair yoga, iRest yoga nidra, mobility, beach yoga, kirtan, arm balance & inversions. I specialize in ALL LEVELS Yoga, Mobility for Hips, and Fun Flows for All.

I offer online classes for all, in person workshops, Yoga Teacher Trainings, retreats, and private one-on-one sessions.

When I’m not teaching, you can find me on the island with my dog Smitty, outside at the beach or in the woods, playing pickleball, and creating my own joy.

    Catch me when you can.

  • Tabby has always been a creature of nurture. Breathing life and love into others seemed to be her reason for existence. She soon realized her heart was running on low and she needed to fill her own cup. And, that is where her yoga journey began 10 years ago. After her own awakening with healing power of yoga on and off the mat, she knew she needed to share this enlightenment with others. While opening her heart to teaching yoga she also realized students were benefiting more from her hands-on classes, where she offered small adjustments to poses, and this is when she started diving into bodywork therapy. She took the leap to become a massage therapist in 2016. She uses a blend of modalities to provide individualized sessions, depending on the needs of each client. This is truly her art. Seeing first hand her clients leaving not only rejuvenated and relaxed but with little to no pain or disfunction is the complete mind-body connections to help heal physical and emotional battles.

When Tabby is not providing bodywork, you can find her with her family and friends, reading, gardening, stand up paddle boarding and horse back riding. She is a lover of outdoor adventure and travel, and all that nature has to provide us!

She cannot wait to share Island Sol and cultivate a beautiful community from the inside and out into the island!

    Love & Light

  • I BEGIN TO FEEL MY HEART PULSING WITH DESIRE FOR LIFE AND LOVE. I BEGIN OPENING AGAIN BECOMING BRIGHTER AND BRIGHTER. SO MUCH SO THAT I HAVE THE ENTIRE UNIVERSES ATTENTION. THE VIBRATIONS THAT MOVE THROUGH US WHEN WE DO THE THINGS THAT WE LOVE ARE UNDENIABLY IMPOSSIBLE NOT TO LOOK AT. WE PULL IN WHAT WE LOVE TO BLOSSOM AND GIVE THAT BEAUTY AWAY.

The practice of yoga to me is something that Is ever changing but is always there for me. My highest levels of expressions come through yoga at times. It breathes life into me, opens my body up, moves emotion around, stretches and strengthens, releases walls put up in my mind and shows me how to love myself and feel good in my body.

Movement has always been and always will be essential. We need the boost in circulation to help our organs and systems function optimally and allow blocked emotions and energy to release. The results of movement can be profound but when you add mindfulness to it you excel to another level. Yoga feels like magic when you practice but it’s actually logic. Everything that blossoms from this practice will amaze you at first but then you realize that it makes perfect sense that it makes you feel, speak, operate, love and move the way that you do.

I am so excited to meet you and share some of the beautiful and powerful ways yoga and meditation can enrich life. See you soon!

  • I was born in Jacksonville NC with all my family roots in this area. I now live close to the Stella area with my husband, awesome pup Hank, Moonshine the cat and two horse friends. My daughter has recently gotten married and moved to CA. Although I did not grow up in a yoga environment, I always knew something was missing in my life. Around 16 years ago, a close friend encouraged me to attend her yoga class. She was teaching at a local gym and she knew I was having a lot of issues in my lower back. So I went. In those 60 minutes, I realized my mind needed this more than my physical body. I knew I would always have a practice, ever evolving, open minded and my very own. So I practiced, I went to class, I found spaces and places…I did what I could. If I got invited to a “yoga thing” I went.

In 2018 I had an opportunity to take Yoga Teacher Training with Loretta Jo Schlatzer out of Cary, NC. I had no idea where this would take me, I just wanted to know more and take my personal practice deeper. A critical part of the training was to teach two community classes and I was so anxious to teach.

I had no idea this anxiety would evolve to a love of teaching! I am so grateful to share all of the things I have learned and continue to learn because I will always be a lifetime student!

Since my initial YTT certification, I have taken additional training in areas I am very drawn too. I graduated from Yoga for All under Dianne Bondy and Amber Karnes in 2019. Learning how to adapt poses to meet our unique bodies and embracing ourselves along our own special journeys. This is very near to my heart as we are all made just as we should be and there is yoga journey waiting for each us! I also continued my training and graduated from a specialized yoga training program through UNC in Yoga for Cancer. This program not only focuses on the patient but the caretakers as well. I am very excited to share this with the community.

I also have a love for crystals and often bring those to classes to support us during our practice. This is also true for essential oils, different musical instruments too!

Can’t wait to meet you on the mat!
